Dear Barbara,
I am sorry to say I will not be able to play again this year. This will be the second year in a row I've missed it and I am truly sorry. Please, please, please don't take me off your list for next year! You have my heartfelt 100% support. This event is fantastic and I hate it that I won't be there. THANK YOU for all you have done, and continue to do, for our Cancer Center. Lives are being saved thanks to all the money you've raised. It is through your commitment, passion, hard work, charming personality, ability to recruit others, and love for your late husband (how pleased he would be!) that you have been able to do this. We are truly grateful. I hope the weather is perfect and the event a smashing success, as it has always been. I will definitely be thinking of you on Sept 17.
